One of things I initially found appealing in Django was the ability to include a single application in multiple Django sites. One of the disadvantages of Rails' monolithic architecture is that similar functionality isn't readily available without depending on something like Rails Engines. I've only recently begun my quest down the Merb trail, so I haven't been following all aspects of development thoroughly, but I finally took a few moments to investigate Merb slices. Oh. My. God. I think my dream has come true. Time to become a merb-slice ninja.
